DeSoto ISD to Host Nov. 7 Family STEM Night Event
DeSoto Independent School District invites its school community to attend STEM Fest from 5-7 pm on November 7 at the DeSoto High School Academy Cafeteria located at 600 Eagle Drive in DeSoto.
DeSoto ISD’s STEM Fest promotes engagement and learning through science-, technology-, engineering-, and math-based hands-on activities, a science Fair, and demonstrations by local educators and professionals. Families collaborate on exciting projects, explore innovative technologies, and discover resources to support STEM education, strengthening community ties while inspiring future innovators.
The event aims to:
- Cultivate a strong, supportive community that encourages ongoing engagement in STEM education
- Inspire a passion for STEM, equipping the next generation with skills and confidence for future challenges
- Create a culture that values STEM learning in everyday life, ensuring all students can thrive in an evolving world.
Families and scholars who attend the event will experience interactive activities and experiences, STEM games and book giveaways, raffle contests, a science fair, art performances, culinary arts demonstrations and competitions, and a hair show. After the event, winners of the science fair, culinary competition, and hair show will be recognized.
