DeSoto ISD to Celebrate Outstanding Scholars at TCU Community Scholar & Dell Scholar Recognition Event
DeSoto Independent School District
proudly announces a special celebration to honor the exceptional students
recognized as Texas Christian University (TCU) Community Scholars and Dell
Scholars. These remarkable individuals have demonstrated outstanding dedication,
resilience, and academic excellence, earning prestigious scholarships that
reflect their commitment to success.
The celebration will take place on Tuesday,
April 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the DeSoto ISD Belt Line Conference Center,
located at 200 Belt Line Road, DeSoto, TX 75115. This event serves as an
opportunity for the community to come together to recognize and applaud the
achievements of these scholars, who inspire their peers and represent the
academic excellence within DeSoto ISD.
During the event, the formal
recipients of the TCU Community Scholar and Dell Scholar awards will be
announced. Among those recognized are Sydney Robinson, a Gates Scholar
applicant; Evonne Foo, also a Gates Scholar applicant; and Daniel Elguea,
a recipient of the prestigious Dell Scholar award. These students have shown
tremendous dedication and perseverance in their educational journeys and will
be celebrated for their accomplishments.
The event is open to parents,
community members, and media, and we encourage everyone to join us in
celebrating these scholars and their bright futures.
