DeSoto Independent School District is proud to invite the community to a celebration of academic excellence and innovation during its annual College and Career Fair, featuring the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Students Research Showcase. This inspiring event will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Academy Cafeteria at DeSoto High School, located at 600 Eagle Drive, DeSoto, Texas 75115.
This year’s event shines a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of DeSoto ISD’s Talented and Gifted students, who will present their Independent Research Projects—the result of months of dedicated work, critical thinking, and creative exploration.
“Each project tells a story of curiosity, perseverance, and brilliance,” said Robin Johnson-Ford, Director of Advanced Academics at DeSoto ISD. “This showcase is not only a culmination of their research journey but a moment for the community to see the promise of tomorrow, today.”
The event will offer families, friends, and community members the opportunity to:
- Discover new ideas born from student innovation,
- Support our student researchers as they share their passions, and
- Celebrate academic excellence across a variety of disciplines.
