“The arts serve as a powerful connector between school
and home, providing families a shared experience that fosters creativity,
expression, and understanding,” said Twynette Anderson, DeSoto ISD
Director of Fine Arts. “Through Family Arts Night, we hope to not only
showcase the talents of our students and teachers but also deepen the
engagement of families in their scholars’ educational journey.”
DeSoto ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Usamah Rodgers
emphasized the importance of the arts in DeSoto ISD’s signature educational
model. “The DeSoto ISD Triple A Experience—Academics, Arts, and
Athletics—reflects our belief in developing well-rounded scholars who are
prepared for success in every arena of life. Family Arts Night is a unique way
to bring families into the learning process while highlighting the essential
role that the arts play in intellectual and academic growth.”
