DHS Culinary and Choir Collab to Present “DeSoto in December: Home for the Holidays”, a Four-Night Family-Friendly Dinner Theatre Experience
The holiday season is about to get a little brighter in
DeSoto! The DeSoto Choir Booster Club invites the community to celebrate the
warmth and joy of the season at “DeSoto in December: Home for the Holidays,”
a magical two-night event filled with soulful musical performances, festive
holiday sips, and sweet seasonal treats.
"This event is more than a
concert—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and connection,” said Naeaidria
Callihan, DeSoto High School Choir Director. “Our students have worked
tirelessly to bring the spirit of the season to life through music, and we
can’t wait to share this experience with families across DeSoto."
This year’s series represents a powerful collaboration
between the DeSoto ISD Fine Arts Department and the DeSoto High
School Culinary Arts program, showcasing the excellence, creativity, and
career-aligned learning experiences available to DeSoto scholars.
Culinary Arts student-chefs, guided by CTE educator
and Culinary Arts Lead Chef Nikena Madison, will enhance each evening
with thoughtfully crafted dishes that elevate the holiday atmosphere while
demonstrating industry-based training in action.
Hosted December 5-6, 2025, at Trinity Church, located
at 1231 E. Pleasant Run Road, DeSoto, TX, this event offers families and
friends the perfect opportunity to gather, enjoy delicious refreshments, and
experience the extraordinary vocal talent of DeSoto High School Choir students
as they usher in the holiday spirit.
