DeSoto ISD Opens Nominations for the Class of 2026 Hall of Honor in December 2025
DeSoto Independent School District is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2026 Hall of Honor, a prestigious program that annually recognizes notable DHS alumni and community members who have rendered meritorious service to the district.
The nomination window opens Monday, December 8, 2025, and will close on Monday, February 9, 2025.
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations via the DeSoto ISD Hall of Honor online form in one of two categories:
- DeSoto High School Alumni Hall of Fame
- DeSoto ISD Distinguished Service Award
Since its establishment in 2012, the Hall of Honor has celebrated the achievements of alumni and contributors who have positively impacted the district, honoring their commitment and dedication to the Eagle community.
Selection Criteria
- Distinguished Service Award (DSA): Nominees must have at least 10 years of consistent contribution to the development and improvement of DeSoto ISD.
- Alumni Hall of Fame (HOF): Nominees must have graduated from DHS at least 10 years prior and demonstrated outstanding achievement in their field. (For the 2026 Hall of Honor class, nominees must have graduated in 2015 or earlier.)
- Posthumous recognition is considered in both categories.
All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of current and former staff, community leaders, and previous Hall of Honor inductees. Only information provided in the nomination form will be considered during the selection process.
Past inductees have included Academy Award winners, Hall of Fame athletes, outstanding educators, elected officials, and community leaders. The Hall of Honor continues to highlight individuals whose achievements inspire the next generation of Eagles.
